We are bonkers about baking, mesmerized by mixing, we idolise icing and are infatuated with frosting!
In other words we are passionate about baking unique cakes for every type of occasion. All of which are lovingly hand made by Laura in Scrumptious Sidmouth.
Angelchops started out as a London based cakery in 2014 when Laura decided on a career change. She left the world of architecture, swapping board meetings for buttercream and world-wide travel for whisking and relocated to Sidmouth in 2016. Since then, the award winning Angelchops has gained a truly fabulous following throughout Sidmouth (where it is one of the towns most loved cakeries), the rest of East Devon and beyond. Laura spends most of her time creating fabulous celebration cakes ranging from wedding cakes, highly themed novelty cakes to beautifully hand-crafted buttercream flower and succulent cakes as well as those decorated with organic edible flowers which she grows herself in the Angelchops HQ edible flower garden. She also attends food festivals, country shows and markets such as Connaught at Christmas where she loves to be out of the kitchen meeting all of her lovely customers, old and new.
Freshly made cakes will be on offer for you to enjoy along whilst soaking up the festive cheer and mulled wine aromas in the central hub of the Christmas food and craft village. There will be plenty of dairy free, gluten free and vegan friendly cakes to choose from along with all the classics and Angelchops’ best sellers such as Great Auntie Bettie’s Bannana cake and mixed berry and white chocolate sponge. Lots of hand-made, edible and/or baking related stocking fillers will also be on offer.
Always remember: Cake is not the answer….cake is the question….the answer is…YES!
